Almost to our Gotcha Day!

This was our family before we left Thursday night.

Our family of 5

will
soon
be
a

family of 6!!!!

We left Thursday night for the Atlanta airport.  Our flight was scheduled for 12:30am Friday morning.  We flew 141/2 hours to Seoul, South Korea.  We then had a 5 hours lay over.  Then boarded another plane for 3 hours to Guangzhou, China.  We had a Very LONG  day.  It was mine and Kyleigh's first time out of the United States.  Kyleigh did such a good job with the flight.  She watched 5 movies and slept a little!!
We made it to the Garden Hotel.  We unpacked our things in our room, then realized that the air was not working.  So, we packed everything up again, and we were moved to another room.  After we unpacked a few things, we decided to take a little nap.  A 9 hour nap!!!!  We woke up at 2:30 in the morning! Then decided at 4:30 we needed more rest, so we went back to sleep.
Today we went exploring!  We walked A LOT!!! We ended our night by eating at a Chinese Pizza Hut, and it was Very good!  We had a great day today, but we are extremely tired.  Can't wait for tomorrow.
Ian and I are a little nervous about tomorrow.  Tomorrow will be our Gotcha Day!  We will get to meet Caleb Xian Zhi Wynn for the 1st time.  Tonight we are working on questions to make sure that we ask the orphanage workers about him.  We want to know everything we can from the ones that have taken care of him so far.
Our guide told us yesterday that she actually saw our son 2 weeks ago, when she was visiting the orphanage.  She kept telling him that his mama and daddy were coming for him.  She said that the workers kept showing him our pictures!!
Please pray that he will have an easy transition to his new family.

  1. Christy...I am so excited to get this update! It was such a joy meeting you at the Lifeline meeting last Sunday, so I'm thrilled to know you're in China and I pray that Gotcha Day with little Caleb is so special...can't wait to see more updates as time allows!
